Australia Report #1

Hello Mates!

First message from me in Australia. Today I’m in the Northern Territory; Darwin.
Tomorrow I will be flying to Cairns where the Great Barriere Reef is located.

But first things first. What have I seen in Kakadu?

Kakadu is a traingle with a lot of national parks. With a surface of 19,804 km2 , which is a lot ;-)

Our first stop was at The Bark Hut Inn. A inn that looks like a old deserted western town. But in the backgarden there were jumping wallabies. The first one we’ve seen, alive… The rooms of the Inn where little cabins with a colour that was used a lot in the 80s.

The next morning we went to Fogg Dam. A place where you can walk between wild animals. Packed with my camera bag I was ready to shoot some pictures of the Australian animals.

The next day we went to Kakadu National Park. We stayed in the Lakeview Park. A really great place to get some sleep in the jungle. After brushing teeth in our personal bath building and walking to the cabin giant bats flew next to you. The walls in the cabin were perforated for the flow. When sleeping you hear the screaming of animals attacked by others. Sound pretty eary, but it was vert comfortable :-)

Next activity will be the scenic flight were I hope to take some nice pictures.

    Hi there,

Nice shots, in particular the big lorry! By the way, we sent you some money. Hope both of you are well and that it’s not too hot over there.

    Bye bye,
